Ensembles changed the landscape of corporate wear when it opened its first branch in Glorietta in 1991. Now in 2009, we continue that pioneering spirit with the launch of our new line Ensembles by Debbie Co. We introduced the collection at our newest location at The Row, Glorietta 5 on Friday, May 15. Guests comprised of Ensembles’ loyal clients, Internet Bloggers and friends from the Press who enjoyed the evening that was kept intimate and personal. The guests were able to get to meet and mingle with fashion designer Debbie Co as well as Ensembles spokesmodel, actress Carmina Villaroel.

The event was kept very casual, friendly and warm. The fashion show was introduced by the dashing and eloquent Richard Herrera who is an ETC mainstay. The models looked fresh and at the same time modern, elegant and timeless, which Ensembles is known for. Guests had the opportunity to purchase some of their favorite pieces from the collection right there and then with a VIP discount. In addition, door prizes such as Ensembles gift certificates, Debbie Co shrugs and bottles of  red wine were raffled off to the delight of the crowd.

The event was capped off with a great interactive Question and Answer portion where guests were able to ask Debbie and Carmina questions that they themselves always wanted to ask. Participants thoroughly enjoyed hearing what inspires Debbie when she designs as well as who is the funniest in Carmina’s family or household.

It was an enjoyable evening in a beautiful venue, with interesting people and great fashion.

For its latest campaign, Ensembles took inspiration from the sleek Mediterranean hot spot. The streak of the sun against the smooth Moroccan high walls ponders on timeless elegance, flawless patterns and classic style. From finest materials of silk and chiffon to key trends like high-waist and color blocking, Ensembles has outdone itself with mixed neutrals and contemporary palette of nudes on its twist of retro Mediterranean.

The collection includes with open string back, color blocking halter top and sweetheart monokinis. Layer them with chiffon cover-up, printed silk scarf or color blocking knit cardigans and you’re ready to make a statement in any vacation destination. Ensembles also offers outfits with the hottest colors, fabrics, silhouettes and styles of the season.

Ensembles’ sublime technique was showcased by Carmina Villaroel in her most risqué photo shoot to date. The stunning TV personality and mother of today’s most adorable twins donned the label’s finest fabrics and classic cuts.

Though anxious for this shoot, the feisty muse credits her dream team for pulling it off. “I was really nervous and excited because it was my first time to wear swimsuit in a photo shoot. I wasn’t sure if I could project and model their summer collection well but because of everyone’s support, everything turned out great!”

Juggling family and career is a breeze for this super mom, “It’s really a matter of time management. My priority is of course my family. I get up at 6 every morning and wake the kids up. I have breakfast with them most of the time and I take them school whenever I can. After taping, I rush home and have dinner with them. I always spend my free time with family.”

Carmina attributes happiness and fulfillment in looking good all these years. “I stay away from negative vibes and only entertain positive thoughts. I feel that being happy and fulfilled makes you look young. If you have inner joy and peace inside, it will show on your face. I’m child like and I want to keep that forever.”
